Ravdoucha Beach

Ravdoucha Beach is a quiet and scenic beach located on the western coast of Crete, near the village of Ravdoucha, roughly between Kissamos and Kolymvari. The beach is mostly pebbly with some rocky sections and features crystal-clear, deep waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. It is not a typical sandy tourist beach but offers a peaceful, natural setting away from crowds.

Surrounded by steep cliffs and olive groves, the beach offers a dramatic and authentic Cretan landscape. There are a few small coves in the area, accessible by foot or a short swim, which provide more privacy. A small taverna nearby offers traditional local dishes, but there are no organized facilities, so visitors should bring water and other essentials.

Ravdoucha is ideal for travelers seeking solitude and natural beauty. The road down to the beach is steep and narrow but manageable by car, and the journey rewards visitors with stunning sea views.
