Milatos Cave (also known as Andreas Cave) is a historic and natural site located near Milatos village, east of Sissi in Crete. The cave is famous for its role in the Greek War of Independence, where around 1,500 Cretan Christians sought refuge and tragically lost their lives in 1823. Today, visitors can explore its impressive stalactites and stalagmites, as well as the small church and ossuary nearby.
