The Ha Gorge is one of the most impressive and wild gorges of Crete, known for its beauty and its demanding route. It is located on the eastern side of the island, near Monastiraki, on the western slope of Mount Thripti, north of Ierapetra. The gorge has been formed by the erosion of water and winds in an active geological fault. This has created a unique landscape of steep cliffs, deep gorges and waterfalls.Crossing the gorge is considered one of the most difficult in Greece and requires special training and equipment.
