The Archaeological Collection of Ierapetra is housed in a historic 19th-century building that originally served as an Ottoman school. The collection features artifacts from the wider Ierapetra region, dating from the Minoan to the Roman periods.
Among the most important exhibits are Minoan pottery, Roman sculptures, funerary steles, and everyday objects. One of the most striking pieces is a marble statue of the god Pluto. The collection offers a unique glimpse into the history of southeastern Crete and Ierapetra’s role as a significant ancient center.
