Polyrizos Beach

Polyrizos Beach is located about 3 km west of the village of Rodakino, on the southern coast of Crete, between Plakias and Frangokastello. This tranquil beach is known for its clear, shallow waters and sandy shoreline, making it ideal for families with children. The beach is slightly organized, with umbrellas and sunbeds available, and the area surrounding the beach is surrounded by dense olive groves, providing natural shade and a peaceful atmosphere.

Access to the beach is via a paved road that starts from Korakas Beach and leads westward, passing small coves and ending at the small village of Polyrizos, where there are rooms and tavernas. The area is perfect for a peaceful getaway, away from the crowds of more touristy locations.

The beach is popular for snorkeling due to its clear waters and good visibility. The region is also suitable for hiking, with the E4 trail passing close to the village of Kato Rodakino, offering stunning views of the sea and surrounding mountains.

For accommodation, the Polyrizos Hotel is just 900 meters from the beach and offers rooms with sea views, a restaurant serving Greek cuisine and barbecue, as well as free Wi-Fi and parking.

Polyrizos Beach is an excellent choice for those seeking a quiet and natural beach with easy access and nearby amenities.
