Kamini Beach

Kamini Beach is a secluded coastal area near the ancient Minoan site of Gournia, close to Pachia Ammos in eastern Crete. The area features five pebble beaches set against a backdrop of limestone formations and reddish soil, creating a striking natural landscape. Remnants of Minoan structures, including rooms and boathouses, are present near the shoreline, indicating the area`s historical significance as Gournia`s access point to the sea.

While the beaches are exposed to northern winds, leading to occasional debris accumulation, they offer clear turquoise waters and a peaceful environment during calm weather. Access can be challenging due to the rugged terrain, but the area`s natural beauty and archaeological interest make it a unique destination for adventurous visitors.
