Petres Beach

Petres Beach is located on the northern coast of Crete, near the small river mouth of Petres, between the areas of Gerani and Atsipopoulo. It is a peaceful, partly organized beach with golden sand and crystal-clear waters.

The beach stretches along the coastline and offers both quiet, untouched spots and areas with umbrellas and sunbeds. The nearby cliffs and the small river estuary create a unique natural setting, perfect for nature lovers and photographers. The water is generally calm and shallow, making it suitable for families and safe swimming. Petres is not overly crowded, even in summer, providing a sense of privacy and tranquility.

The beach is easily accessible by car, with a few tavernas and accommodations nearby. It’s also a great spot for a relaxing sunset. Whether you`re looking to unwind in peace or enjoy a scenic swim, Petres Beach is a lovely and lesser-known option on Crete’s north shore.
