At the west side of Treis Eklisies village and almost 65 km south of Heraklion, is located a particularly beautiful beach, Pachia Ammos or Ornio as the locals call it. Is accessible through a short dirt road that starts from Treis Ekklisies village and ends at its west side behind a small hill.
The beach with the small pebbles and the dark blue waters is surrounded by an impressive carob forest. West of the Pachia Ammos you will find some beautiful caves. Also, the Caretta caretta turtles are making their nests at its coastline.
