Psilos Volakas Beach

Psilos Volakas Beach is a small and peaceful cove located just 1.5 km west of Paleochora, in the Gialos area of southern Crete. It is named after the large rock (`Volakas`) that sits at one end of the beach, offering protection from the wind and a natural spot for diving and snorkeling.

The beach features fine pebbles, crystal-clear waters, and a calm atmosphere, making it ideal for relaxation.Psilos Volakas is partly organized, with a few umbrellas and sunbeds, as well as a small canteen during the summer months. The access is easy by car or on foot from Paleochora along the coastal road heading toward Grammeno.

The shallow waters and gentle slope make it suitable for families with children.The surrounding rock formations and underwater landscape also make this beach great for those interested in exploring nature and sea life in a quiet and beautiful setting.
