The Rethymnon Lighthouse stands at the edge of the old Venetian harbor in Rethymno, Crete. Constructed during the Egyptian administration of Crete in the 1830s, it is the second-largest remaining Egyptian-built lighthouse on the island, following the lighthouse in Chania. The stone tower rises to a height of 9 meters and, although no longer operational, remains a prominent historical landmark offering picturesque views of the harbor and surrounding area.
